They're the top three things that I love this week. They may be sweet, they may be smart, or they may be just to eat...
► I've been a bit obsessed with caramelized onions for about the past six months. I've always liked them, but lately I can't make a sandwich or quesadilla with cooking some first. Then, I came across this Crispy Quinoa Burger recipe from Half Baked Harvest. I've actually never had quinoa, but as a vegetarian, I know it's something I need to try. That, along with beer caramelized onions, sweet potato fries, and Gruyere cheese... well, I know what I'm making for dinner this weekend.
► Few things make me happier than finding a new artist on Etsy to become a fan of. I have a few artists that I check back with often, adding new paintings to my wishlist. I'd get everything I like all at once if I could, but I think art is best collected over time. Italian artist Victoria Semykina is a new favorite of mine, and I have my eye on this Deer watercolor print. Take a look at her shop when you get a chance - which painting would you pick?
► Finally... I have seen Skillshare classes mentioned online for a while now, and I have finally signed up for my first course! I've signed up for "The First Steps of Hand-Lettering: Concept to Sketch.", which begins October 16th. Honestly, there are about 10 other classes that I would love to sign up for as well, especially The Art of Modern Calligraphy, taught by Molly Jacques. If you're interested in signing up as well, we BOTH get the class for 50% off if you use my link (and if you're a first-time student on Skillshare). Hope to see you in class!
