The Purpose of She Makes a Home is to share my experience as a work-at-home mom. I live to find possibility in every situation. I'm a nester - I LOVE to be at home! If you love making your house feel like a home; if you stay home with your children; if you'd like to, or already do, work at home - then this is the place for you!

Below is just a taste of what I have written over the last 4.5 years. You can use the categories to the right, or get started below!

First, do you want to work at home?

Whether you're just getting started, started a long time ago, or don't even know where to start, I have tips for selling online effectively.

Learn how to manage your time; brand your business; find your correct pricing formula; define success; market your skills; streamline product design; create customer service; advertise and promote yourself; package and ship your goodies; master taxes and bookkeeping... the list goes on:

Read interviews with other creative entrepreneurs and work-at-home moms:

Babaloo! - a stay at home mom with a handmade shop
Lauren Thomas - a performing musician going to school full time, and working part time
Allisa Jacobs - a work-at-home mother, handmade shop owner, e-book author
Erin Wilson - fashion and accessories designer, blogger, and mother
Laura Wilson - shop owner, blogger, part-time work-at-home mom
Camelia Negoita - full-time blogger who quit her day job
Dark Heart Designs - indie shop owner with a full-time day job
Zoe Rooney - a work-at-home mom

Managing a home is also important to me. I'm a first-time homeowner, so I'm just getting started myself.

I've been making my home over, room-by-room; I also do many DIY decor projects; decorate for the holidays; and round up some of the best home trends out there.

You might also be a Do-It-Yourself-er.

I've written many projects for home solutions, such as cleaning; gift-making; decor; and household items. Check out:

Part of making my house a home is cooking and baking.

You're not likely to find money-saving, time-saving, freeze-3-months-ahead recipes on She Makes a Home. I'm more interested in pampering you - you who works, lives, and possibly raises children at home.

Read about my latte recipes, as well as hot coffees and cold drinks; baked goods; homemade mixes for storing; homemade pasta and main courses; seasonal recipes and homemade ingredients:

I'm a Work-at-Home mom myself

I've been there. I know what it's like to start a new endeavor from home. I was a college student with no kids when I got started, and in the last five years, I've graduated, had two children, moved 4 times, and bought a house. I want to be there for you, and help you discover the possibilities that are waiting for you.
